this is a pic of the house my forefather, pieter van breda, bought in 1769 - a farm on the slopes of table mountain that made its money from growing fruits and veggies.  it was owned by the family up until 1955 when the municipality bought it, auctioned off all the goods inside and razed it to build a sports complex.


im grateful that someone decided to take a pic of the beautiful home before it was demolished.
